Western Australia's agricultural industries are world class and continue to provide premium quality food and beverage products to customers around the globe.  Western Australia offers a wide range of fresh, high quality gourmet products including ; seafood, specialty meats, fruits, vegetables, premium wine, dairy products, flowers and gourmet processed foods.  Value adding processing of food is a significant sector with close to 1,000 food and beverage manufacturing companies in Western Australia.
 
The Department of Agriculture and Food's, Food and Trade Development Directorate is responsible for enhancing exports and investment into the Western Australian agri-food industry and focuses on assisting Western Australian food companies to increase sales, become export orientated and achieve higher value for their products.
