Gemtree Vineyards
Gemtree Vineyards comprises 330 acres in the heart of premier Australian wine region, McLaren Vale, and has been the home of Paul and Jill Buttery for over 20 years. The Gemtree label was created by the family in 1998 with the release of 400 dozen shiraz.
Today production is over 30,000 cases across 15 different products. Jill & Paul’s son Andrew heads up Gemtree and their daughter Melissa, together with her husband Mike Brown, guide the fruit from vine to bottle. In 2007 the entire Gemtree estate was converted to biodynamic viticulture.
Gemtree’s wines have been available in the USA for many years and in 2007 the company employed a US Brand Manager, to service the North American market.
