Australian Made, Australian Grown Campaign
2008 - 09 U.S. Retail Store Promotions

Making your product stand out is challenging in the vast and competitive U.S. market. The Australian Made, Australian Grown Campaign’s new 3-year USA promotional campaign provides a powerful and cost-effective marketing and branding platform for Australian exporters to differentiate and promote their products.

Businesses that become licensed to use the Australian Made, Australian Grown (AMAG) logo join a collective effort of Australian companies leveraging the iconic green-and-gold branding symbol to get their products recognised as Australian. In this campaign they are supported by a dedicated team of export and promotional advisors.

Central to AMAG’s export strategy for 2008-09 is the U.S. Retail Store Promotions campaign, a series of promotions to position and highlight licensees’ products and assist in driving sales at strategic specialty food stores in key consumer markets across the United States. The first of these promotions is detailed below.

Whole Foods Market Northeast Promotion – October 2008

This is a month-long promotion in 17 Whole Foods Market stores in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, including Whole Foods Market’s highest-grossing, Columbus Circle store in the landmark Time Warner Center in New York City.

The promotion will include a professional in-store demonstration and tasting sessions, as featured in the Australian Made Modern Australian Cuisine Culinary Class, an in-store consumer cooking class led by an Australian chef, and a media relations campaign to include television, radio, print and new media outlets in the tri-state area.
